Our friends popped round Friday night for a glass of wine, or two. It was nice to have company as I'm staying indoors until I am allowed to 'put my foot down', it's just not worth risking another set back.

Vox Populi Bobal from Majestic, a 2012 bottle that Hubby decanted and Las Moras Malbec, a bottle our friends brought.
As we both like Sauvignon Blanc wine my friend and I enjoyed Oyster Bay from New Zealand and by contrast Calvet Touraine from France. Both great wines, a good nose on the Oyster Bay, a softer finish on the Calvet.
Saturday was a day I have been waiting for, and being sofa bound was just perfect. It was the final day of the Guinness 6 Nations. I'm a great fan of rugby and have for the last few years supported Wales as our daughter lives in Cardiff and works in the rugby world.
It's been fantastic to see the boys on a winning streak. I have a sheep hat from one of our visits to the Principality Stadium which I have cuddled every game - I'm sure that was the magic touch.

We had a fantastic time last year - Love Wine Guildford 2018. Hopefully we'll be able to catch up with Les Dauphins, Joie de Vin, Georgian Wine Club and other great wine producers at another event soon. I'm sure it will be a great day enjoyed by all.
Life has many surprises for us but there is always fun to be made - time to cut my cake I think π
